DEATH FROM DRUNKENNESS. Considerable excitement was caused in the village of Llanbadarnfawr, near Aberystwyth, on Thursday se'nnight, by a report that Sheffield Dick a well known character, was found dead in an out-house at the back of the King's Arms, public-house, at Llanbadarn. He was in the habit of tramping the county for many years, repairing malt-mills, saws, &c. He was in his 64th year. An inquest was held on his body, on Friday, by Dr. Richard Williams, Coroner, when it appeared that, on Wednesday, poor Dick had been drinking pretty freely at Abervstwyth, and then went to Llanbadarn, between seven and eight o'clock in the evening, after drinking an incredible number of half-pints of ale, he lay down in the out-house, where he was found dead on the following morning. Verdict" Died from excessive drinking." We understand that the deceased's real name was Richard Scarcebrick, and that his friends are respectable cutlers at Sheffield, of which town he is a native.
