Description: Transcript:At the same sessions, Walter Williams, Red Lion, New Court, summoned Mary Williams, Clarence Inn, New Court, for an assault alleged to have been committed on the 1st November. Mary Williams, issued a summons against Walter Williams, for an assault allseed to have been committed on the same date at the same place. This assault arose out of a dispute between the parties who are rival publicans in New Court as to whether a tent or booth should be fixed on a certain piece of land for the purpose of selling beer during the Llanybyther fairs, both parties claiming the same spot. Walter Williams alleged that he had obtained the leave of the landlord of the Black Lion and Mary Williams alleged the same right. Mr William Davies appeared for Walter Williams, Mr. Mr David Lloyd, Lampeter, for Mary Williams. After hearing both sides the Bench decided to dismiss both summonses, each party to pay his own.costs.
