Description: Transcript:NORTH CARDIGAN MYSTERY Mr. John Evans, Aberystwith, the coroner for North Cardiganshire, held an inquest at the Miners' Arms, Pontrhydygroes, on Saturday morning touching the death of Hugh Jones, Pantymwyn, Llanefan, a farm labourer, 40 years of age, who was found drowned in the River Ystwyth on the previous day.-Mr. John Messer, landlord of the Lisburne Arms, Pontrhydygroes, gave evidence of identification, and explained the position in which he found the body 100 yards below the footbridge crossed by the deceased on his way home. Witness last saw him alive at about nine o'clock on Tuesday evening at the Lisburne Arms, when he was quite sober. Tbe jury found that the deceased accidentally fell into the river and was drowned.
