SPECIAL POLICE COURT. Before Major Price Lewes, Alderman Howell, and Mr John Hugh Jones, the adjourned bastardy case of Mary Evans, Ship on Launch, v William Jones, Gambia Inn, was again heard. The plaintiff was represented by Mr D. Pennant James, Aberayron, and the defendant by Mr Edwards (representing Mr Hugh Hughes, Aberystwyth). After a long hearing an order of 1s 9d a week was made against the defendant.
