REFUSfNG TO QUIT. Supt. Richard Jones charged Wm. Powell, Llwyngwyn, Goginan, farmer, with having been drunk and refusing to quit the Druid Inn, Goginan, when requested on June 5th. P.C. Rees Davies said that at about 8 p.m. on Saturday, the 5th inst., he saw the defendant entering the Druid Inn, Goginan, in a drunken state, using bad language and causing a crowd to assemble. He immediately followed him and told the licensee not to serve him. Evans replied that be had already refused to do so and that he could not get him to leave the house. Witness asked him to leave, but in vain, and he had to be put out. The defendant then went home. Witness said he had been asked by the defendant to plead guilty on his behalf and to say that since he had received the summons he had been leading a better life. Fined 5s and costs.
