DRUNK. F. C Phillips, sworn Witness heard shouts of murder" from the Nag's Head, in Bridge Street, last night, where he found the defendant. George White, beating a woman who:was said to be his wife. Witness had great difficulty in separating him from the woman. He was very drunk. There was a crowd round the door. The prisoner's wife denied that her husband assaulted her. Fined 2s. 6d. and costs for being drunk, which were paid by the wife.
