Highway Offence.
David Morgan, Llwynantestny, Llanbadarn-fawr. farmer, was summoned for being the owner and driver of a certain cart drawn by one horse was found at such distance from the same as not to have proper control, at Aberystwyth on the 11th November. Serjeant Evans stated that on Monday evening he was on duty in Great Darkgate-street, and saw a horse and cart standing outside Culliford's public house. He took charge of the horse for a minute or so and then saw defendant coming out of the public house. Margaret Davies, a girl to,whom the charge of the horse was entrusted, was then examined and said she was waiting close by the horse within the distance of about two yards from it. She did not see Serjeant Evans catch hold of the horse. Defendant was fined 2s. 6d. including costs.
