FATAL KICK BY A HORSE.-Mr John Jenkins, Victoria Terrace, in this town, hostler at the Castle Hotel, received a kick from a horse at the Castle stables on Monday, the 28th ult., which resulted afterwards in his death. The deceased, who had a number of horses under his care on that day, being market day, got kicked by one of them in the groin, and was obliged to take to his bed at once in consequence. Dr Abel Evans was soon in attendance, and attended him throughout, but in spite of all skill, his injuries were of so serious a nature that death supervened on Saturday night last, at 11 o'clock. He was a careful and obliging servant, and respected by all. Previous to his engagement at the 'Castle' he was head coachman with Mr William Jones, Glandenys, a position which he held for upwards of 30 years, and during that time, kept the Plasnewydd Inn, Silian. An inquest was held on the body on Tuesday, before Dr. John Rowland, The Garth, when a verdict of accidental death was returned. Deceased leaves a widow and three children, with whom deep sympathy is felt.
