LICENCES.-This was the annual licensing day for the petty sessional division of Tregaron, and thirty-two certificates were renewed. Morgan Jones applied for a certificate to enable him to open an inn at Tregaron, known by the name of the New Ivy Bush. The application, a new one, was supported by Mr Griffith Jones, and opposed by Mr A. J. Hughes. Petitions pro et con were presented, and ultimately the magistrates refused the application, remarking that there were already fifteen public-houses in the place. "
