Keeping a Disorderly House.-Daniel Morgan, landlord of the Australian Vaults, was charged by P.C. Thomas Davies with keeping a disorderly house. There was a great disturbance on Saturday night about ten o'clock. Went into the house and found a lot of young men cursing and swearing and threatening each other. Requested the men to leave the house. The landlady and her daughter were present, but did not interfere with them. There were twenty or thirty men there. Richard Jenkins then gave evidence to the effect, that on the Saturday night he saw several men playing in the house at dominoes. They were playing for a quart of ale. The defendant was present in the room. Could not say whether the defendant was aware that they were playing for ale.-Mary Morgan also gave evidence. She saw some men playing at dominoes, but did not know they were playing for ale. Fined 5s and costs for permitting drunkenness, but the charge of gambling was dismissed.
