Notes:According to the Census for 1891, William Jenkins was landlord of the Rhydlydan Arms, but soon after he left to prospect for silver in Colorado leaving his wife Jane to run the pub. When the price of silver crashed in 1893, he returned to Wales and is buried with his wife in Ystumtuen Cemetery.

His father was Thomas Jenkins who ran the Dyffryn Castell Inn at Ponterwyd during the 1860s
