" Licensing. The Chief Constable presented the following report Gentleman, I have the honour to submit for your inspection my annual return of public-houses in the petty sessional division of Tregaron, which comprises seN en seven-day licences, 31 six-day licences, and one wine licence, being at the rate of one public- house to every 220 persons, exclusive of the wine licence. Of these 14 houses are in the town of Treararon, giving as an average one public-houses to every 52 persons residing in the town. The number of persons summoned for drunkenness showed an increase of 1 on that of the previous year" CN 31 Aug 1894

"Renewals were then granted to the following licensed houses Talbot Hotel, Ivy Bush, Wenallt Arms, Black Lion. Pontargamddwr Arms, Old Crown Inn, Crown and Anchor, Red Lion Inn, Sunny Hill Hotel, Fountain Inn, New Lamb, Railway Hotel, Railway Inn, and Post Office (sweet licence). Caron Lower; King's Arms Lledrod Lower; Miner's Arms, Pontrydygroes; Black Lion, Lisburne Arms, and Star Inn, Ysbytty; New Inn and Lisburne Arms, Caron Upper Red Lion, Black Lion, and Cross Inn, Gwnnws Upper; Mabws Arms and Rhydgaled Arms, Ystrad Meurig; Fountain Inn, Lledrod Upper; Rose Inn and Three Horse Shoes, Llangeitho; Blue Bell, Llundainfach; Fedw Arms, Bettws Leiki Bridge End Inn, Drover's Arms, Cross Inn, New Inn, and Derri Arms, Llanddewi- brefi.
