"DISAPPEARANCE. Considerable anxiety is being felt both at Cardigan and St. Dogmell's, relative to the fate or where abouts of John Griffiths, formerly landlord of the Treffynon Inn, at the latter place, and of late residing with his daughter at Glantivon, St. Dogmell's, who has been missing since Friday, the 31st of October. From all accounts, Griffiths was last seen leaving a public house at Bridge End, on the Pembrokeshire side of the river Tivy, and the supposition is, he must have taken the wrong turning, and have fallen into the river. It is said he had a considerable sum of money upon him at the time of his disappearance. " Carmarthen Journal 14 Nov 1890
