Davies (24) charged David Davies, Drovers' Arms, Adpar, Newcastle Emlyn, with keeping open his licensed premises (Drovers' Arms) for the sale of intoxicating liquors during the period the said premises were required by the Licensing Act, 1874, to be closed, on the 10th day of April, 1884. Fined 5s. and costs. -Elizabeth Evans, Adpar, widow, was charged with having been found on the licensed premises of David Davies, Drovers' Arms, Adpar. Newcastle Emlyn, at 10.45 p.m. on the 10th April, 1884, during which time the said premises were required to be closed. Fined 5s. and costs" CN 2 May 1884

"Newcastle Emlyn Arrests. ALLEGED FORGERY. A sensation was caused at Newcastle-Emlyn by the arrest of Mrs Elizabeth Jones. licensee of the Drovers Arms. Adpar and her daughter Margaret, aged fifteen years. who were brought before Mr. Thos. Davies on Monday on a charge of uttering a forged cheque. The accused were remanded on bail.
