"CORONER'S INQUEST.—On Monday last, an inquest was held at the Noyadd Arms, Pendre, Cardigan, before John Phillips, Esq., on the body of Mrs. Margaret Williams, of Pendre, who was found dead in bed on the morning of Saturday last. it appeared from the evidence of the witnesses that the deceased, who was 81 years of age, had been declining in health for some time, and had lately become very feeble. All the witnesses who could give any information respecting the deceased having been examined, the coroner summed up, and the jury returned a verdict of "Found dead"." Welshman 5 Sept 1856

"SUDDEN DEATH.— Mrs Griffiths, landlady of the "Noyadd Arms" public house, in this town, was found dead in bed on Tuesday morning last- The deceased had returned to rest on the previous evening in her usual health heart disease is supposed to be the cause of death" Aber Obs 17 March 1877

"Inspector Roberts charged Hannah Lewis, Noyadd Arms, Pendre, with Keeping her house open for the sale of intoxicating liquors during prohibited hours on Sunday last, viz., at 8.30 a.m. Fined 10s., and 11s. 6d. costs. Defendant was cautioned by the Bench, and informed that the next time a charge would be proved against her, her license would be endorsed. " Cgn Obs 31 July 1880

"Sumrnons.-Hannah and Mary Lewis, Noyadd Arms, Pendre, v. Stephen Lewis, mariner, Dinas. Claim £4 17s. Mr. Mitchell appeared for plaintiffs, and said that they had failed to serve defendant, as he had gone away to sea. His Hon- our ordered that a judgment summons should issue at any port where defendant might arrive in England." Cgn Obs 23 June 1883
