"Marv Evans, labourers wife, Penparke, was charged with being drunk the previous Thursday. P.c. said he saw the defendant by the South Gates about 9 o'clock in the evening: she applied for drink at the Piccadilly, but the landlord refused to supply her. She was very drunk, so he had to take her home. Previous convictions were proved against defendant, who was fined 10s. and costs" CN 26 Aug 1881
