Summary:
The Green Dragon stood on the site of Wendriw today, at the far end of High St.
By 1841 it was the residence of David Joel Jenkins, Solicitor and Land Agent.

…On the South wall of the south aisle of the Church is a monumental inscription, - “Near this place lieth ye Body of Moses Morgan late of The Green Dragon in this Town who died ye 20th day of Sept. 1780 aged 55".

Moses Morgan died in September 1780 whilst in office as Churchwarden. In his Will he left £3-3-0 (three guineas) to the poor of the Parish.

“The money was distributed to the applicants by William Richard, Churchwarden, in the presence of Mr Williams, Curate and Mr David Davies, Mercer, on September 13th, 1786. About 60 poor folks got 1/- apiece.”
