Summary: This pub was in just outside Ceredigion, over the Teifi in Carmarthenshire. As a result, people from Lampeter who wanted to drink in a pub on Sundays made their way over the county boundary during most of the 1980s when Carmarthenshire was 'wet' and Ceredigion was 'dry'. Ceredigion voted to remain dry on Sundays in the referenda held every 7 years from 1961 until 1989. Carmarthenshire voted to be 'wet' on Sundays 7 years earlier.
