A Troublesome Customer. "-John Jones, Penparke, Aberystwyth, labourer, was charged by Superintendent Phillips. with having been drunk and disorderly at Llanrhystyd on February 10th. Defendant did not appear- P C. David Thomas in his evidence, explained that he had found defendant in the centre of the village challenging all passers-by to fight. He assaulted one person badly. The person named had his face cut with glass but he declined to prosecute defendant. Another person was also assaulted by defendant but he, likewise, refused to prosecute. After great trouble witness succeeded in getting defendant to leave the village. In answer to the Bench witness said defendant had visited the public houses, was mad drunk, and wanted to assault all persons he came across. Superintendent Phillips stated that defendant was fined for being drunk and disorderly on January 20th last. The Bench inflicted a fine of 5s with costs.
