Details of place: Swyddffynnon

other names: Swyddffynon
County: Ceredigion
OS Grid Ref: SN692662 = 52.2783446635, -3.91865566814
Type of place: Village
Notes: There was a row of houses (1891 Census) called Black Lion Uchaf, fawr, canol, isaf, but no 'Black Lion Inn' and no 'Innkeeper'. There are also 1 and 2 'White Hart' which also sounds very pub-like. Occupation of almost everyone is knitting stockings.
1861 Census, White Hart is a pub! Can't see it on 1851. Black Lion (as opposed to BL uchaf etc) is there in 1851 and 1861, not obviously a pub (David Davies b.1801) is an Ag Lab. Beerhouse with Catherine brewing?)
